In the fashion arts building at my College the visual merchandising students have window displays that they're responsible for. Every two weeks they change them according to themes, and the most recent displays were all made out of paper medium.
The amount of detail that is put into them is absolutely amazing -- they made full sized dresses, snowflakes and flowers-- all out of paper. I don't think at any point in time, anyone considers the amount of work that is needed to make the beautiful displays in the windows of The Bay and Holt Renfrew, and it's these artists that make them.
Have a look at the video of the paper clock pieces moving, isn't that crazy?!?

The architecture students at USF put together a mini fashion show last fall and a lot of it fell in the realm of this. It's rather interesting how the two design fields can affect each other.
