I think this is more of a reminder for myself than anyone else. 

It is my least favourite time of the year right now, exam time. I don't know if I have ever expressed this on my blog, but exams are definitely not my strong suit. So I am constantly giving myself pep talks and trying to help myself chill out about them, because I tend to blow them way out of proportion.

When it comes to school and studying I am a master procrastinator, so right now I am literally focusing on pushing past each hour of studying to get to Wednesday, and then after that, just a few more days will be left till my final exam on Monday afternoon. 

It's not the end of the world, and you're going to have to get past it anyway, so you might as well try to do the best you can.

I saw this quote and just had to post it because of how undeniably true it has become. Within in my generation, and even more so the generation after mine, we have come to expect instant gratification in every aspect of our lives--from the internet when loading a page--and I can attest to this because Blogger is taking forever to load!!--to success in all our endeavours. 

This is a little reminder that for anything you want, you have to work, not wish -- and to get off your ass, and go after your dreams.

Werk.

I saw this today in an article I was reading and it really, really made sense to me. Hard work is key to everything you want and everything you will achieve.

So let's have an update, blogosphere. This year so far has proved to be extremely trying, but also very good to me. I finished school and graduated, so I am extremely proud of that. My last semester was difficult for different reasons, sometimes I didn't want to get out of bed--for reasons other than unfinished assignments ;). But everything that was painful was a blessing in disguise, and now i'm quite happy as I am here. I'm having the time of my life with my family-- especially on my little escapade to NYC, and I feel as though more things are falling into place as they should.

I can hardly believe it's August tomorrow! In September I will be moving on to University to do Business Management, however I do think I'll be changing next fall to Creative Industries. I only found out about it last week so it's too late to change now, but just reading about it makes me extremely excited to go back to school and learn all sorts of new things-- my gut says its the right way to go!

I read this quote at the end of an article about the Royal Bank fiasco that blew up a few weeks ago. I think it's a good reminder for everyone--not just billion dollar companies-- at how quickly things can fall apart.

Its very easy to get caught up in situations where you make rash judgements without looking at all the factors and all the potential outcomes.

This is something I'll keep in mind, constantly.

I thought this may have been necessary, especially since its exam time and everyone gets extremely stressed, so just relax and breathe, and when you're being nice to someone else-- remember to be nice to yourself too!

I am currently in the final week of my final semester in Fashion Business, so I will be saying good-bye to you, and firmly planting myself in a position to fight for my freedom.
